Gladstone Library – Faux Antique Leather Books

The Royal Horseguards Hotel, One Whitehall Place is at the heart of London City and includes The Gladstone Library. Founded by the former British prime minister William Gladstone and once home to over 30,000 books, the library is now filled with DecBOOKS false books – faithfully replicating the antique leather books that once graced the shelves.

Completed in the early 90’s and having hosted many notable events over the years since the false books were installed. It’s fair to say the authenticity of DecBOOKS has more than proved itself in this project.

Each panel of DecBOOKS faux books was mounted on a permanent support bracket ready for installation on site.
